JUN TANAKA TO APPEAR ON BBC SATURDAY KITCHEN ON 12 JANUARY

We've just launched a Beer Tasting Menu in the restaurant. Working with Gustavo Bertolucci - Beer Gourmand - we've paired some of the worlds best beers with the dishes on our tasting menu.
CHEF, JUN TANAKA TO APPEAR ON NEW BBC2 SERIES
Executive Chef, Jun Tanaka, from Pearl Restaurant is to appear on BBC2’s new cookery series from 29th October 2007.
Food Poker is a new 30 episode TV series for BBC Two daytime. Shot as live in a studio, the aim is to combine the thrill, excitement and bravado of poker with the creativity and imagination of talented chefs, to produce great looking tasty food. Each show will have three rounds: savoury; sweet; and the grand final. In each round the chefs will battle to create a delicious dish that will take them through to the cook off.
Jun, chosen for his outstanding cuisine at Pearl Restaurant, is already a favourite with TV viewers. Last year, Jun presented Cooking It, his first television series on Channel 4. He also makes regular appearances on BBC1’s Saturday Kitchen and ITV’s Daily Cooks.
Other chefs who will take part in the new series will include Peter Gordon, Theo Randall, Atul Kochhar, Andrew Turner, Allegra McEvedy, Paul Rankin, Martin Blunos, Clodagh McKenna, Aiden Byrne, Galton Blackiston, Matt Tebbutt, Noel McMeel, Richard Fox, Kevin Dundon, Nick Watt, Gennaro Contaldo, Daniel Galmiche and Lawrence Keogh.
BBC2 Food Poker will air on Monday to Friday at 4.30pm from 29 October 2007.

Jun Tanaka is the Executive Chef at Pearl, one of the Capital’s most glamorous restaurants with over a million hand-strung pearls in its décor. Since its opening in June 2004, the restaurant has established an excellent reputation for its exquisite modern French cuisine.
Prior to Pearl, Jun spent 10 years working with some of London’s best chefs in seven top Michelin star restaurants, including The Oak Room with Marco Pierre White.
